Opposing team MB uniforms-Awards.
OK, today I had A LOT of free time, so I started to go through and find which school that we're playing this year in football has the Worst marching band uniforms.
In schedule order....
Wisconsin: http://www.badgerband.com/season_pictur ... stern.html
Ball State: http://www.bsu.edu/cfa/music/bands/marchingband.htm
Boise: http://thunder.boisestate.edu/index.html
Temple: http://media.collegepublisher.com/media ... 7ea431.gif
Ohio: http://www.ohiou.edu/marching110/multim ... hotos.html
Buffalo: http://wings.buffalo.edu/sa/ub-thunder/ ... ngBand.jpg
Western Michigan: http://www.wmich.edu/marchingband/2004_ ... index.html
Akron: http://www3.uakron.edu/bands/marching/
Kent: http://dept.kent.edu/band/Athletic.htm
Miami: http://www.units.muohio.edu/mubands/mumb/
Toledo: http://utrockets.collegesports.com/trads/tol-bands.html
If ya ask me, I personally like Boise's the best. Honorary Mention goes to Wisconsin, Miami, and OU which all have pretty good, traditional-looking uniforms as well.
I think Akron's is the worst of the bunch, but Kent's is pretty close.
All of the rest seem to be middle of the road.
Without a doubt, OU has the best website, and you can thank the brothers and sisters of KKY and TBS Alpha Delta chapters for that. Those guys do great work with this kind of stuff. If you haven't seen it, they publish an annual magazine about their band that looks amazing. Anyway, I'm done, Jeff

I am just glad we do not have to worry about our marching band being named after an individual. I love the support, but it seems a little selfish to have your name right up front. Can you just see the Tom Noe Falcon Marching Band! Do'oh!!

What kinda marching band are you if you can't handle wearing a heavy sweat-soaked jacket in August for hours on end? That's part of the glory of it, dude!

But as for T*l*d*'s band looking classy.... c'mon. They scurry onto the field. And they use flip folders for pregame.

I go to Miami, I mean, if we wanted to get wet, we'd pay someone to get us water, or something.
I remember T?l?d? used Flip folders, cause their fans were hollaring at us, and harrassing us, so I and three or four others shouted back... "IT's all good. But we'll get more playing time than your offense!"
We lost, and I regretted saying it

Does anyone even like our new uniforms? I was a little disappointed. They're really bland. I mean, they should've taken inspiration from Notre Dame, PSU, and dare I say Michigan? I mean, those ones are fun, "show" style uniforms. They make the band the band.
... and they have tradition(s). Well, we HAD some... But they were snuffed out pretty quickly by the administration. Anyone ever do a quickly? - s**t, I was ASKED just so people wouldnt be embarrassed. Didnt bother me. On top of all that, people need to take some freakin' pride in themselves and just realize that this is what the organization DOES. Sheesh. ... But I s'pose this is a topic for another Thread... To which I'll post.

Mikey...
I am lover of tradition, but I do think your new uniforms are spiffey, for new style "DCI" uniforms.
I think Miami needs to get new uniforms, and I advocate going back to the blue and white uniforms of the 70's.
Be happy YOUR administration didn't try to can the FMB for its traditions. Some of us have some experience in that manner....(Happenned before my time, but it affects me nonetheless.)
