I mean, I guess I shouldn't be all like, laughing about it since they are fellow bandies , just in a different college, but eh...

props to them if they think they are the "pride of the midwest"

Great Drumlines in Illinois however. They have a lot of guys from the Cavaliers and Phantom Regiment, not to mention a few from the Scouts, Glassmen, and other really good midwestern drumcorps. For some reason, a good percentage of them flock to Illinois. So I give props to the Illinois bands for having a progressive drumline, that is not modeled after drumlines of the early 80's.

I played in a line lead by current DCI judge Charlie Poole - trust me we werent bad

Yeah, I remember a few years ago when a former Maggot and I had mentioned that something like that would be a great way for leadership to settle their differences.

Anyway, yeah, there were some sweet drumlines in the 80's, but, what we played in the 80's, (the cadences) are kind of out of date now. Cadences aren't necessarily so repetitive anymore, and that was what I was talking about. Anyway, I have no hostile feelings towards anyone who likes our cadences......................I'm usually just bore out of my mind when I'm playing them..............
