First of all, I enjoyed the band show at the WMU game, much more so than the OU show..... However, and this is why the question title on this thread.... Am I missing an "introduction" of what song the band is going to play? I finally looked in my program to see what the actual titles of the songs were....would've appreciated a brief intro. on each song prior to its being played.

Is there a reason that no intro. is done.... a lot of this music is unfamiliar to me, and would've appreciated mention of the songs first.

The announcer does give commentary between the pieces. Maybe he was kinda hard to hear or understand from where you were sitting.

And not all of our pieces have "titles" exactly... for this show, since it was video game music, the announcer was just introducing (creatively, lol) the game from which we would be drawing music next.

Yeah, we have intros for all of our shows and transitional commentary between most of our songs. Maybe you thought they were just some more general announcements regarding sponsors and 50/50 drawings.

On a side note, I've gotten a kick out of the announcements for our last two shows. Brett and Justine did a great job writing them.

brett's were kinda cheesy...i mean...iron chops and high note boy? he could have done better! the announcements have gotten better though...i think my favorite was from this weeks show:
Can Mario save Princess Toadstool in time?! *play song* OOPS!! I guess Mario died for the last time.

Just listening to Dr. Oakerlund(sp?) say OOPS made me giggle e very time. I love his over-dramatics...

It's why I posed the thread in form of a question; perhaps I just flat out missed the intros...if so, my bad.... either that, other there were people asking me questions...did have radio headphones on for half time stats, but thought I had them off when band started playing.... But thanks for the info.... maybe I'll use my "good ear" on Sat. at the Akron game...and hear what I'm supposed to.
