Actor Robert Patrick a Falcon?!

Check this out... Actor Robert Patrick (the T-1000 cop from Terminator 2) is apparently a BG grad. I was looking at BGSU on Wikipedia and he's listed under famous alumni. When I clicked on his name, his bio on claims that he also played football for the Falcons.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Patrick

"Robert Patrick (born November 5, 1958 in Marietta, Georgia, USA) is an American actor. He was a track and field and American football athlete at Bowling Green State University."

I checked out the all-time list of letter-winners at BGSU, and he isn't listed.

So, is this a case of George O'Leary-ism in claiming he's done something that he actually hasn't, or is it a mistake on Wikipedia's part?

Would appear to be true. Though this site lists him as only being on the track and field team

Yahoo lists him as attending BG from 1979 - 1980.

At the bottom, it also says he lived for some time as a child in Kettering and Cleveland, Ohio.

Perhaps since he's not a grad, we haven't heard more of this.

Of course, here at Bluffton we make a big deal that some guy from 98 Degrees (not Nick) went here for a semester. Go fig.

The dates are are a bit inconsistent, but I'll buy it.

Maybe he did not win a letter?

His second best role, after T-2, was as the football coach in The Faculty. Honorable mention goes for his role on The Sopranos as David Scatino, bad gambler and cry-baby.

I really liked his performance in Walk the Line.

He's a traitor. On the day that all 3 showed up wearing their schools' colors, that guy was decked out in OSU gear. That's been discussed at length in other threads.

He was at BG about the same time I was. This is what happened to him when he tried chicken wings for the first (and last) time. Evidently his spell at BGSU did more for him than he bargained for..

Yeah, Frickers will do that to you. I don't know why everybody raves about it so.
