For all the sporting and non-sporting history buffs alike, they've added a bad-ass photo timeline of BG's history at the alumni website.

Somewhere in each of these pictures is a young Doyt Perry, but I can't figure out which one he might be. I have ideas, but can't be sure without the crew cut! :-D

Top picture, front row, second guy.

Bottom picture, middle row, next-to-last guy.

Just guesses, but I think I see him in that young man's forehead/eyebrows.

Those were my guesses, too, though the guy on the bottom pic, second row far left seemed like a possibility, too. I think you're right, though.

Last Saturday, when I was in Eppler North picking up my kids from Karate class, I noticed they had a bunch of women's team pictures (basketball, gymnastics, I think, forget which other ones) hanging in the second floor gym at the end of the building. Some of the teams were from the 20's and many from the early and late 70's. (at least I think they were from those dates. If they are still there this week, I can check it out again!) It's the room that they usually teach gymnastics in. Really neat pictures with coach's names and years listed on them. It was like a hall of fame-type tribute. Very neat!!!

I got a bunch of information for BGSUsports.com from the west side upper hallway at AA last winter. Alot of names and faces that did great things at BG in the 50's and 60's, but don't get the recognition.

My grandfather was Doyt's center. I think that's him in the second picture, top row on our right.

I think, in the link, he's the football player above the "G" in the 1928 football picture. I'll have to send the link to my mom to make sure. I can't remember when he graduated. I know he was a letter winner in football and track.

Willard Schaller if anyone cares to know.
