Nine selected to BG Hall of Fame

Post by TG1996 »

...and man do I feel old!

I knew the announcement was coming before long, I just forgot to run a "prediction" thread on who would be likely candidates. Carlyn Esslinger was actually one I had thought of. (Very nice person, btw...and not too hard on the eyes, either. )

I think they're just a hair away from inducting the whole damn 91-92 team. Leaver was such a clutch kicker, Tracy was a pretty solid punter that could hit a baseball a little bit, and Vinnie Palko is one of the finest linebackers to ever play at BG. His size and form just screams LB!

And Steve Klein was a leader on one of the better Falcon soccer teams to come around.

From the reading I've done, I think this might be the biggest class in a long time.

Congrats to all!

Vinny... oh my god. I am laughing so much. My best friend dated him. giggles all around.

I know Andy Tracy (who from BG doesn't?) but I didn't think he was that stand out in college. Of course this is from me that ran into him and is lovely wife at BW3 about 4 years ago. He knew me (he went to school with my cousin) and I asked him if he was playing baseball anywhere. I guess he was pro them. I got a kick out of it as I was living in Louisiana and was probably the only townie that didn't know he went pro. Oh well....

That's a great line-up for the hall of fame! Congrats!
