Old root beer stand along Bowling Green Road

This would be one maybe an old-timer (even older than me) could answer. Somewhere out near the intersection of Hwy. 6 and Bowling Green Road west of town, there used to be this little wooden root beer stand that was kind of a land mark for people heading toward B.G. from the West. I first saw it in the late '60s when my high school football team was going to see a BG game. Even then, it wasn't operating and was pretty run-down looking, but it was still standing there when I graduated in 1975. I'm curious if it's still there or if anyone knows when it did actually operate. Even in the 60s, it looked pretty old. I remember a friend of mine saying she could imagine Model T's pulling up to it with guys in racooon coats getting out. It looked more like a vegetable stand than an A&W or anything like that, but it was painted Brown and Orange. Does anyone know anything about its history?

IF it's the place I'm thinking of, it's now a hardware store

I think I know the place. It was still closed (of course) but still barely standing at least until the early '90s.

It was where the Marathon station stands now at the corner of Wintergarden and West Wooster (Bowling Green Rd). It was called "The Pines" or "Pines".

Also you may remember the Hires Root Beer stand which was right between Food Town and Pizza Inn on N. Main St. Food Town is now a small strip mall and Pizza Inn (an A-Frame shaped building) is an Auction company. The Hires area is now a parking lot.
