Saturday May 5, 1990...

As I sit here at the PC, downing a few cold ones, I just realized later today marks 17 years since I left the great campus of Bowling Green State University with degree in hand...ready to rock the radio world. 17 freakin years already...damn. Lynne Cheney was the Speaker on a drizzly day at the Doyt. I wore acid washed jeans (hey, I'm an 80's kid!) and sweatshirt under my gown...and had a flask in my back pocket. 
Commencement was a blast!
After the ceremony, it felt very odd leaving BG and heading back home for a month before moving to Akron. I can still remember walking outta my apartment on East Merry, the red brick apt building where the tennis shoes hung from the wires, for the last time. I swear a part of me died that day leaving BG. I know sometimes I can get a bit outta hand about BGSU, but I TRULY loved that place as a student and always will as a proud graduate.
I wouldn't change a thing if I could go back...uh, check that. I would change one thing...the head coach of the football program from 86 thru 90. I got stuck with Moe. Ugh. At least BG beat UT my SR year ('89), 27-23.
So many memories, so few beers left tonight.
BGSU...simply the best university a person can attend. And the parties were pretty cool.
