Teri Sharp, director of media relations at BGSU in Ohio, issued a statement last week in response to media reports about Ribeau and on Friday reaffirmed the statement. “(WSU) has contacted Dr. Ribeau and he has participated in discussions with them, but no offer — formal or informal — has been made,” the statement reads. “President Ribeau is an alum(nus) of Wayne State and he has a strong attachment both to the school and to Detroit, the city where he grew up.”
