It's the kind of thing that makes me proud to be a B.G alum!
BGSU in national spotlight on ‘CBS Sunday Morning’
For the second time in two weeks, BGSU will be in the national television spotlight.
A story slated to run Sunday on "CBS News Sunday Morning" will feature Dr. Casey Cromwell, psychology, and graduate student Emily Webber in a story about rats.
CBS was interested in Cromwell and Webber's ongoing research on rat "laughter." The pair's work is part of a collaboration with former BGSU professor Jaak Panksepp.
Panksepp, now at Washington State University, first discovered that the rodents emit gleeful "chirps" when playing or being tickled, but only at ultrasonic tones five times higher than the human ear can hear.
CBS correspondent Martha Teichner and a news crew were on campus Tuesday videotaping Webber working in the laboratory and interviewing Cromwell.

Any chance we could start a campaign to have the mascot change from "Fighting Falcons" to "Laughing Rats?" Think of the logo possibilities! Would that mean that "Falconfreak" would have to become "Ratfreak?" (The horror! The horror! Oh, the ratmanity!).
OK, I'm better now.
