What a great story. I can't wait to see the last game in that building. I don't care where I am or when it is, there's no way I will miss it. Many of my best college memories were right in Anderson.

Dude,

I love this story...simply love it. Your daughter is beautiful and she has a great set of parents.

Your father would be so proud....

Thanks for sharing that story.

Mine, too. Especially John Wienrt's "the knife was still in the body" comment after Bob Conroy stripped Jeff Montgomery and hit Mike Larsen for the winner as time expired back in ....1974, maybe? My all-time favorite UT-BG game.

Was Weinert and assistant under Haley in 1974? I must have missed that since I didn't arrive at BG until 1975 and Weinert was hired my sophmore year.

So, great story, but your senility is starting to show.

If you want a good Weinert story, how about the time Hipsher was shooting freethrows against Toledo with the game on the line and Weinert put his coat on before the shots to whip the crowd into a frenzy. . .

Hence the "maybe". I guess it was Haley because it definitely was before '75. And as for my senility well, let
