They are still trying to fix the ground after breaking it.bgfroelich wrote:not to change the subject from the Stroh Center but when is the new arts buidling supose to be started. The ground breaking was last spring and nothing has been done yet?
In all seriousness, though, I think they are starting sometime in September.

Given how soon they just HAD to tear down Saddlemire, I'm thinking 2013 sounds about right. Whoever planned the construction for the Wolfe didn't turn in their best work.

Not that I know of. From what I've seen, they are more interested in getting the Stroh done and pave the parking lots around the stadium and the field house.

Re: New Arts Center Groundbreaking??
not sure if it's been posted anywhere but they have started construction with the Wolfe Center as the entire area has been enclosed and they rolled the big spirit rock out of the way. They've basically been working on clearing trees, getting something of a parking lot established for the working crews and bringing in a lot of dirt. If I had pictures, I'd post them, but I don't. Maybe someone else can get some posted, but then again there really isn't anything to take pictures of though. It'd be nice if the university would make a big banner similar to the one they have for the Stroh Center...but oh well

I believe that all they did was move it outside of the fenced in area so that people can still paint it...though from what I've been told, since they had to drag it/roll it, it's pretty much covered in mud and such.Ydfalcon wrote: So... what's happening with the rock at the present then?

What trees are they clearing out now? I saw the ones surrounding the old student services building were removed when they started to take it down but the last time I saw the construction site, it was just a wide open grass field. Can anyone provide any pictures?Strouse wrote:not sure if it's been posted anywhere but they have started construction with the Wolfe Center as the entire area has been enclosed and they rolled the big spirit rock out of the way. I believe they were just removing the few remaining trees that were left in the fenced-in area as well as a few that were near the intersection by the CMA and Health Center where they have a gate.BGSU33 wrote:What trees are they clearing out now?
