Update on Rodgers

I received the following email today from the campus update daily email:
Due to the demolition of Rodgers Hall and construction of the new
residence hall, the road between Rodgers and the Greek housing units
and the adjacent parking spaces (Lot D and Motorcycle Parking Area 8
to the west and the metered spaces to the east) will be closed
beginning Tuesday, Feb. 16, until August 2011.
It appears things are going to be underway VERY soon. We will be building the Stroh Center, the Wolfe Arts Center, and now a new dorm. Everybody bring your hard hats.

Sorry fooballguy51 but you are wrong = we're going to be building TWO new residence halls! 8-)
(the second one will be to the north of the Towers in the commuter lot).

I forgot all about that one. But now that you reminded me, I'm going to have to figure out new parking once they tear up my parking lot. Then again, I may be using city streets next year for parking. Parking pass prices are going through the roof.

Just be happy that you're not at Kent, Miami, or Ohio U. All three of them charge higher rates than BG.

I love when BG students think they have it bad.

As a graduate assistant, my parking permit fee has always been covered for me by the graduate college or the math department. However, starting next year they will no longer cover the fee of a permit. In effect, they are raising the price for me $100 (or more depending on any price increases next year).
