Construction Cameras

Post by Bleeding Orange »

Since there is so much going on around campus with more projects coming online in the near future, I thought this might be a nice place to dump links for all of the active construction cameras. Personally, I've gotten tired of digging them up out of individual threads, so I'm thinking this might be useful for some others, too. These oxblue cameras are fantastic!

Stroh Center:

http://oxblue.com/pro/open/bgsu/strohcenter" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Wolfe Center for the Arts:

http://oxblue.com/pro/open/bgsu/wolfecenterforthearts" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Rodgers Deconstruction:

http://oxblue.com/pro/open/bgsu/southce ... idencehall" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If and when other cameras come online, I'll add them to this initial post. I'll also edit the Rodgers title if there are any better suggestions...I wasn't really sure how to label that one.

Thanks for these. I had the ones for the Stroh Center & Wolfe Center but not the other one. Keep them coming. BTW, does anyone know what exactly the new dorm is going to look like? Any renderings or anything? I just heard about the project recently and never saw anything before about it.

I've seen the artists renderings but I just don't see how they are going to build the two residence halls shown in the drawings on the lots they will be located.

If anyone on-campus wants to take a look, the hallway outside of the Office of Admissions in McFall Center has the drawings.

Do you say that because it doesn't look like there will be enough room on the current sites? If anyone is able to take a photo of these images and post them on here, it would be much appreciated. I am curious to see what they look like.

Thanks. I also read this: BGSU plans to build a "Greek Village" as part of the campus building overhaul, but that is several years away, said Joe Oravecz, associate vice president for student affairs.

Do you have any idea behind any information about this? Like where this Greek Village will be be located? Will there be any changes to where the Greek houses are currently located. I wish there was a better way to be further informed about these kind of questions but I don't know where to begin to look.

All of this stuff is contained in the master plan, which should still be online at http://www.bgsu.edu" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. I'm feeling lazy at the moment and don't feel like digging...been a long day.

As for the Greek Village, if I remember correctly it was originally intended to go north of lot 20, but I'm not sure how the recent parking lot expansions in that area might affect that. As for the current housing area, that is intended to become green space, a kind of 'window' on the campus from Wooster.

I finally stumbled across some images of the new dorms. I've gotta say, if this is what they are going to look like, they look very nice from the outside:

Maybe this has been pointed out before but does anybody else notice that they tore down the old slide projector to build a polaroid camera?

It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. LOL! Now that you mention it...... I have often wondered why BG, instead of building facilities that look or resemble "something," didn't ever stick with the design theme of some of the earlier buildings on campus which actually resembled a university or college looking building? I have been on tons of other campuses and it puzzles me when I walk around our campus and look at the various and random designs. Very little fits or flows, it just all looks like a bunch or random buildings mixed together.

You mean you're not a fan of the layout and look of the math / science building? ;-)

I may have missed this explanation, but where did the rock get moved to? I can't see it in the Wolfe-Cam.

I am a math graduate student, and I love the look of the math building. It could be worse. We could have the math building at Kent, which has a roof of the shape of a sine curve:
