Basketball ticket renewal

Post by factman »

I received my ticket renewal in the mail today (why do they waste $.41, when they want you to renew online anyway) and I went online as directed in the letter to renew both men's and women's tickets, and couldn't do it, sooooooooooo I called the ticket office and it rang 18 times (yes, I counted) and someone answered and I told them the problem, so she said ,"please wait and I'll get someone who can help you". I patiently waited another minute or two and the same person came back on the line and said, "I'm sorry, but we are having a problem with that, and you should be able to do it in a few days."

We wonder why our athletic department runs a deficit? If you ran any other business like this, it certainly wouldn't last long.  ](*,)

It's a university. They run the "business" aspect of it based on theory and how it "should" work with no idea of how it actually works in the real world.

i know the ticket office recently switched over their ticketing software. The implementation of such systems don't always go as planned so that could probably be the root cause of your frustrations.
