You can scrap any of them who have thoughts of cutting football dancing in their heads like the thread that was started over on the football board.

If it was a case of truly needing to cut football so that the University to continue its mission to Educate people and to continue academic pursuits, I hope any of the 3 have the balls to do it.

That said, I've quickly looked at CVs and on paper I like Gary Miller the best. Would be interesting to come down and listen to the candidates talk.

While I enjoy athletics and attending various sporting events, I wholeheartedly agree with PGY Tiercel.

I seriously doubt we will be in this situation, should it come about it would hurt the alumni more than the vast majority of the student body.

I can think of several other ways to make cuts in athletics before football should ever be on the chopping block, but that's a topic for an entirely different discussion.

Why? It's on its way to being almost entirely funded by an ENDOWMENT. Perhaps some of the other programs should follow suit.

I was just trying to add to the absurdity of the 'dropping football' comments earlier in the thread.

Although I'd never miss or even realize it if we actually did drop hockey.

It's a strong set of finalists. I believe only the sitting president at Shippensburg was mentioned when the Blade released the initial round of applicants. There were some wacky names on there and I was a bit concerned the pool would be too shallow.

Why does every thread take 3 posts to totally veer off the cliff?
