I've been around my kid too long. This was my first thought.

From the little I have read, it sounds like she will be a great fit in our campus community! Ay-Ziggy-Zoomba!

I met Dr. Mazey briefly at the reception today. We both quickly agreed that relations between a faculty union and a central administration need not be hostile or combative. I noted positively in a couple of brief media interviews that she has experience at a campus with an active collective bargaining AAUP chapter (Wright State) and a campus with an active advocacy chapter (Auburn), and I also noted that she joined the AAUP as an administrative member while at Auburn. I am cautiously optimistic.

As a member of the Graduate Student Senate, I hope we can get her on board with many of the ideas we have. I especially hope she comes to one of the remaining forums on the Strategic plan for Graduate Education.

Re: A new President...long live the President
THAT was my first question!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."
