BGSU MFA wins Pulitzer

Post by 4th Row »

Anthony Doerr just won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for his novel All the Light We Cannot See.

Tony was one of my creative writing teachers when I was at BG. He's a great guy in addition to being a great writer. He was always really enthusiastic and positive; classes were a lot of fun. If you haven't already, check out the book - it's a great read.

I've had the book on my to-read list for a while. I've heard it is a great read and is a convergence of history, technology, art, and other disciplines - all of which interest me greatly. I had no idea it was written by a BGSU alum until I saw the announcement this week. Awesome news!
