Re: Fall 2025 Enrollment
I know a lot of people have certain feelings about Rodney Rogers, but getting people to attend and stay at BG is hands down the most important role of a university president, and he's done it better than anyone in BG's history. Kudos to him. I've also been impressed with his streak of hires of late. Whenever he leaves BG, it will be in a better place than he found it.

The people (person) I think you're referring to doesn't understand the role of a university president. Look 25 miles north to see what a run of truly lousy presidents actually looks like.BillyLP wrote: ↑Wed Aug 20, 2025 1:54 pm I know a lot of people have certain feelings about Rodney Rogers, but getting people to attend and stay at BG is hands down the most important role of a university president, and he's done it better than anyone in BG's history. Re: Fall 2025 Enrollment
I will always maintain that Rodney, the man, is incredible for BG.
I can remember being in line at Panda Express at the union during my undergrad years. He came up behind me in line and we chatted while waiting for our lunches to be made. He asked what I was involved in around campus, and I told him I was a Bleacher Creature. He instantly lit up and wanted to talk about the hockey program. He even asked what I thought we could do to improve things at sporting events. He absolutely cares about this place and wants to see it continue to succeed.
When I came back a year late for graduation thanks to COVID (class of 2020, but got to walk in 2021 because of the pandemic), I walked and he taped me on the shoulder and told me he liked my (orange BG) tie as I was heading off stage. Just the little things like that show he cares.
People (person) can doubt it, but the momentum is real, man. I feel it.

Apparently this duo is a hit with the kids. If you recall, last year the "Speed Tour!" guy did a couple of vids. Roll your eyes all you want, this is how you market nowadays. Up north, the Turdledo guys are boasting about their open house as if every school in the US doesn't have one of those. Momentum is definitely real.mbenecke wrote: ↑Wed Aug 20, 2025 2:41 pm I will always maintain that Rodney, the man, is incredible for BG.

Re: Fall 2025 Enrollment
BG is doing a lot to enhance the value of the student experience. That goes a long way for both parents who are likely footing some of the bill for their children's education, and the kids themselves that want to feel included and appreciate a sense of belonging. The administration as a whole deserves a ton of credit for fostering that environment.

Along with enrollment being up this is also the highest achieving freshman class. I believe the same was true last year. It's incredibly impressive to grow 36% in three years while also getting more talented students

Re: Fall 2025 Enrollment
BGSU is celebrating enrollment growth to 20K plus while UT is glad that their enrollment losses were slower than last year. They're currently at a little over 14k in enrollment
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
