Today is THE last day of finals on campus! With graduation happening tomorrow, I figured I shold start a topic that'll let everyone reminisce/b!tch about happenings this year. I know it's been a doozy of a semester for many people here in the CMA, but what about the rest of you around the ivy covered halls of BGSU?

Most of the people graduating now got here the same time I did but were lucky enough to get out in 4 years. I've spent my whole college time around them so it kind of sucks knowing I probably won't see some of these people ever again. Sure they are friends and what not, but lets get real, you don't keep in touch with everyone after you graduate.
As I get older, the semesters keep going by faster. I didn't like too many of my professors or classes so I didn't really have an enjoyable semester school wise. The best things came outside the classroom! Getting to be in athletic band and travel with the teams to the tournaments was an experience I'll never forget! Getting a 'Danny' was pretty cool, too, considering how much I love our basketball program.
Technically, it's just another school year gone by and because of all the sports hype on here, I'm ready for next fall to roll around!

Well, the kiddles here have another week of classes before their round of exams. I don't know why they go so late, I'm just glad I didn't have to go as late as they do here.
My last semester at BG was, thank god, a very easy one. By that time I had such a severe case of senioritis that I didn't care to do much work. I did make it to my classes and luckily I managed to sign up for a lot that was tests and short papers. No projects, group projects or papers longer than five pages!
Anyhow, congratulations to those of you that are graduating this weekend!
And congrats to the rest of you who are not graduating, but are one semester closer to your own ceremony...

I knew I had to leave BGSU and get a job. I should have stayed!! Oh the humanity of it all.
And congrats to all getting the degrees tomorrow...Should be an absolutely beautiful day.

I had one at 12:30 on Friday. Took that one hungover and with a little "herbal enhancement". It was a blow-off astronomy class (Is John Laird still teaching there? What a nut case that guy is! Pretty fun for such a dry class, though.), and I needed a 5 or 10 percent on the final to get a D and graduate. Must have done all right, because I got a B+/A- in the class! I'll never forget my last answer ever in college was a short answer question about "how helium and iron are created". Knowing the helium part (something about stars exploding or whatever), but having no clue on the iron, I wrote "I think the iron comes from somewhere near Pittsburgh."Falconfreak90 wrote:I was actually depressed getting done with finals. That whole last semester (and the summer that followed while my lease ran out) was a blast!

I don't have too many complaints about this past year. I had a blast living in an apartment with 5 awesome girls! There was never a dull moment. I also made a ton more friends this year.
The sad part of this whole year is that my roommate from my freshman year is graduating early tomorrow and moving to LA. I didn't get to hang out with her as much this year so I am really going to miss her!
But, in 3 hours, I'll be moving into my summer apartment and getting ready for a crazy summer in BG!
Oh, and the sad thing about next year is that all of my really good friends will be graduating and I'll be here for another semester student teaching. That is going to be really hard.
But, I have a feeling next year will be a blast! Yay to finally being 21 in July!

I think the iron is mined up in Wisconsin or somewhere shipped across the great lakes, and STEEL is made in Pittsburgh.TG1996 wrote:I had one at 12:30 on Friday. My last days at BG flew by way too quickly. My advice- just take a moment to reflect on all that you accomplished while you were there, how far you've come as a person, etc.
Then go out and party like a rock star!
