I was surfing the net looking at job listings and came across the website of the Association of College Unions International. It is the professional organization of student union directors and staff. Anyways, on the homepage they have a flash graphic - and two of the three pictures are photos of our own Bowen-Thompson Student Union.
I've always thought that, architecturally, our BTSU is the perfect model of what a modern college union should be. Check it out at www.acui.org.

I have only been to the new union a few times. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the old union but is was small with realtively little to offer, other than great pizza and keep-you-own score bowling. The meeting rooms for the new union are excellent and think that it was an excellent addition. As far as I can tell it is so much better than UK's union. It is far from the housing complexes adn really most classroom buildings and offers little compared to BGs. Though there is a push to update or build a new one at UK. Hopefully they would use BG's as a model.
