I don't know if anyone has posted anything on this but I didn't see it anywhere. On Friday, May 5th, someone stole the campus seal. I don't know how one would go about this besides maybe using a crowbar and prying it up but still, that thing has to be heavy. The Police have no suspects currently.

I would love to have that hanging on my wall but to actually take it is just plain wrong!



While someone could be cleaning it, the university is SUPPOSED to let the Police know about that before hand.

I heard about this friday night at the KY alumni happy hour. I wasn't so much shocked about it being gone as I was about not having seen it here first. This did happen right before graduation. Ok, so it does seem kind of shocking that someone stole it. More shocking that they were able to wheel it away in the middle of the night. I had always thought that the seal was more or less set into the concrete, guess not. It doesn't seem like it should have to be moved to be cleaned. Maybe its the same group that stole the Big Boy a couple of years ago.

I swear I will not graduate until it is returned or replaced....wait, I won't graduate anyway.....

That just pisses me off. Leave the high school pranks to high schoolers.

I don't care who you are. That is just plain NOT funny. That is like stepping on the seal, I hope whoever did it FAILS ALL OF THEIR EXAMS FROM NOW UNTIL ETERNITY! And I don't ever go to BG....

How big is that seal anyways, doesn't look to big. (You should try to get Miami's seal outta the ground... GOOD LUCK in the HUB, HAHA. While you're at it, Saxy you can kiss your sweetheart under the Upham arch at midnight and become a "Miami Merger" and join the tens of thousands of happy 'Mergers')

Saxy - Never mind Bando- he is talking about Miami's seal. If you walk on Miami's seal as a Freshman, you will fail your first test.

I proposed to my wife standing on the BG seal. We came back through town and I talked her into walking around campus. Got to the seal, we both stood on it and I proposed. I would rather be a Falcon Flame than a Miami Merger any day.

That is all besides the point.... stealing or vandalism to the seal is just plain wrong.

It's around 3' wide. But it has to be heavy so there is no way that if it was stolen, that it was a one-man job!
