The Blade published an article on the total enrollments at the area's universities and colleges. BG is this year's largest area school (20,975), while Ownes came in second (20,160), and Toledo was last (19,480). Both BG and Owens enrollments are up this year, while UT's is down from previous years. BG has the highest tuition of the three. No comment on this trend, just an observation that despite the highest tuition, we outdrew the others.

Remember that 20,975 includes the BGSU-Firelands campus as well. I don't have access to the numbers for just the main campus at this point.
Also, our retention rate went up to 77.9% this past year.
I'm out at Edison Community College right now, but when I get back into the office on Friday, I'll look for some numbers to post for you.
Big decreases at UT mean BIG budget cuts. Remember, every 100 students equals about $1.6 million in state funds.

we wouldnt have such problems in the budget if we'd stop buying a new crappy looking mascot every year. I'm sorry, but there is no way to make a rocket mascot not look like a giant blue _____. No way.
The student decrease is most likely due to the amount attacks from football players.
