AH i realy enjoyed Crucial DBC, speaking of which I heard they did ok in CA...santa Barbra area if my memory holds....

DBC was the best band around in the mid 80's; they really had a good reggae sound. I knew Norm from freshman year and knew a lot of the other band members as well.

I just did a search on Crucial DBC and found some interesting but dated stuff. They opened for Jimmy Cliff at UCSB in 88. It looks like Darryl is(was) with a new band the Delroy Band in the late 90's- 200x. It appears they cut a disc or two as well.

The West Shavers and Crucial DBC were popular, but for me the ultimate Howard's experience was seeing Mike Katon play. I'd get while he was setting up his gear and stay until he packed it away for the night.
