Not sure anyone else will care (Ok...I know a couple of you geeks will) but last night I upgraded the software that runs the bulletin boards (phpBB) from version 2.0.8 to version 2.0.11.
This was necessary because of a security flaw discovered in the previous version. An exploit for the flaw had been developed (Santy worm) and was beginning to propogate across the net. Rather than suffer from possible data loss and major headaches, I took the pro-active approach and upgraded on Christmas day hoping to disrupt as few visitors as possible.
