Falcon Club Member Designation?

I know this site is independent and not officially associated with BGSU or the athletic department, but I think it plays a valuable role in trying to advance both. I feel that more people should support the Falcon Club and those of us that do should "pressure" other folks into joining as well. Time to time I think people start threads about membership drives and that is good and such, but I was wondering if maybe over under our names we could have a Star or something that says "Falcon Club Member" so as to help convince others to join. Maybe above where it says the joined date?
What are other's thoughts on this?
Something like this. . .

Grant, I love the idea. The more people we can include in the Falcon Club the better. This group helps BGSU athletics and everyone who chipps in helps all of us.

Hmmmmm, I'll have to think about that... not sure I'm on board. I'm a Falcon Club member and think everyone else should be too, but I'm NOT a Falcon Club entity and don't know that it should make any difference.
Let me give it some thought....

I give to the general scholarship fund, if only because I'm too far away to reap many benefits of Falcon Club, and I guess I never thought of it any other way once I moved out of NW Ohio. I think its a decent idea to show who is a Falcon Club member if anyone has questions about joining/donating, but otherwise, we're all Falcon fans, whether we give to the cause or not.

I am not a Falcon Club member. Not saying that I am proud of that or anything, just stating the fact. This may sound like a silly reason, but I have never been asked to join. I see in the paper where they make a big deal about a membership drive, I think it is in the Spring, but noone has ever asked me to join. I know the ticket office has my name, so the Falcon club must not get a list of names from them. I have two degrees from BGSU, so the Falcon club must not get a list of names from them either. I live in BG, so my address must not get me on their list to ask either. And for all the athletic events that I have attended, I can't recall there ever being a "sign up to join the Falcon Club" booth or anything where they ask you to join.
I like the idea of adding something to denote Falcon Club members on this website, but I wonder what you have to do to get asked to join. I know I could just fill out the form and send it in, but it makes you feel better to be asked to join something then to just sign up for it.

Warthog,
Again, just another example of how BG athletics just misses the boat. NOt to completely knock the people out there, because they all have good intentions, try hard, and love BG athletics, its just they come up short sometimes.
There is a booth at home basketball games now with a representative there to answer any questions. Maybe they should take a more active role in handing out info brochures? Who knows.
As a "new" member I'll tell you I have enjoyed being a Falcon Club member for a couple of reasons. When I was growing up my dad would take me to events, luncheons, and the old tent at football north of the stadium. I liked the chance to meet coaches and some athletes and that the idea was the money generated went to bring in falcon athletes. (Growing up I was a BG fan and only a BG fan, I didn't have an Ohio State period or a Miami Hurricanes period). When I moved back to BG a year and a half ago I thought I would like to be a part of the Falcon Club during football season- the Pavilion was a pretty cool idea. My parents bought me a membership ($100) as a 25th birthday gift in August. It was definitetly worth it- I love heading to the pavilion at halftime of football games to of course get the free beer, but it is also cool to know you are helping a good cause.
So, Warthog, I ask... won't you join us? I'll even stand in line and get you your first beer at the season opener!!!

After reading a couple responses I guess the more I think of it the more it kind of becomes an "elitist" move to do that and also Grant points out that this site might not necassarily want to be entangled with the Falcon Club.. Maybe I could create something that says "I'm a Falcon Club Member" and those who choose to display it can. . .

If you joined now, it would be just in time for the very nice reception that the Falcon Club holds every spring for its members. This years reception is February 28, and it would be a great way to be introduced to the Falcon Club and some of its members.
I am SURE if you call Jane Meyers at 419-372-7062 (Falcon Club), that she would be more than happy to send you the membership materials.
Please join us!!

You gonna get the credit on the membership drive for having asked me if I join now?

I may be wrong on this, but it looks like the *falcon club member is about 149 pixels down from the top of DD's avater, i.e. I think he remade is neat looking upside down, mirror image avatar.
