C-USA has more bowl tie-ins than the MAC, but the quality of football isn't "above the MAC".Redwingtom wrote:Just to clarify, the schools listed are the schools the recruit is interested in along with the level of interest that recruit has in that school, not necessarily the other way around. Now if they have offered him then that is a different story. Per scout.com, only Ole Miss and Memphis offered Jacksom, but those are teams from conferences above the MAC!Tricky_Falcon wrote:Wow look at the list of potential schools that BG was fighting with, obviously Ole Miss. But Arkansas and Tennessee. It's pretty nice that we can get a player to come to BG that has some of those schools after him. Looks like it's a good thing we have an aviation program. Who would've thought that that major would come into play for football recruiting?Warthog wrote:It now says 'solid verbal'BGSUfalcons wrote:Rivals is reporting that Brandon Jackson gave a soft verbal to BG.![]()

Also on the BG team page on rivals it looks like we are making a solid effort to recruit some defensive players.
Any recruiting news?

Indeed...this is shaping up to be a great week for us recruiting.hammb wrote:That would be another GREAT get for BG. I hope it's true, it would make for a nice week in BG recruiting. Pull a top 30 safety away from Cincinnati & pull a LB away from his commitment to Ole Miss!? Who would've thought that to be possible 5 years ago?BGSUfalcons wrote:Rivals is reporting that Brandon Jackson gave a soft verbal to BG.
Gotta love the aviation program!
Signing Day is 2 months away.
Keep up the great work, coaching staff!

Yeah this kid would just be turned into a offensive lineman for us which he does have the size for, but we could use that kid on the D-line.

12 commits before Xmas is awesome and a telling sign of things hopefully to come. 3 of these players are nationally rated by at least one source at a position they played at in high school.
I can only access limited information at both Scout and Rivals, but we have at least 2 official visits coming the weekend of 1/13/05 from Defensive Backs. I believe this is the weekend of the two QB visits as well.
Abram Gordon of Lithonia, GA and Mario Tynes of Stone Mountain, GA will both be visiting. Tynes is larger and using the hierarchial structure on Scout, Gordon is slightly rated higher.

Thanks for the info. Let's hope this warm weather sticks around while these guys are here and that they get back to work on the SEBO too. Hey, every little bit helps.OptionQB wrote:Abram Gordon of Lithonia, GA and Mario Tynes of Stone Mountain, GA will both be visiting.
