10 players score for BG in win

Post by BGSU33 »

One a night our leading scorer struggled to find the mark, the entire team stepped it up and chipped in some points. Now that's what I call balanced scoring and it was great to see.

Floyd finally shot with some efficiency as well! Since he made 50% of his FGs, I'm going to assume that he actually waited to take some good shots within the flow of the offense instead of his usual, "I'm bored, let's jackt his one up" type shots.

Marschall was killing them on the boards early, I was surprised to see he only finished with 8. I really like what that freshman is giving us.

Another good performance from Lefeld. I cannot say how much I love that kid. I know he's not the most talented guy in the world, and he's not the best post player we've had here in the past few years. However, he works his ass off for this team, and he has got to be playing through some serious pain. He's not even really practicing, and still he goes out and gives us double digit points. Matt Lefeld is the antithesis of Kevin Netter...I hope this guy can stay healthy next year, he deserves it for all the work he's put in.

The other thing that jumped out at me listening to the game (and coach commented on it after) was that it sounded as though Dusan made some nice passes. If the guy can actually distribute to go along with his jump shot he'll be much more valuable. He seems slower than molasses, but if he's got the fundamental skills down he'll be alright.

Mmmmmmmm... contrubuting freshman. Looks like these guys are finding their legs. Now it back to AA for Notre Dame(OH) and Central. Call me an optimist (HA), but I smell a 3 game winning streak.

Marschall only played 18 minutes and it seemed like 15 of those were in the first half. I don't recall hearing his name more than once in the second half, aside from scoring the first bucket I think. He was in foul trouble, but Coach must have felt comfortable with the Wright, Samarco, Floyd, Lefeld, and Soler lineup that played most of the second half.
