Go UTEP!
Yes, I saw the thread where most of you are pro-MAC & are rooting for Toledo. Usually, I would be pro-MAC as well. But as for me & this game, UTEP all the way. Mostly because of all the weasly UT fans who have come around here talking smack all season long. They are, in my opinion, by far the worst opposing team's fans we have had all year.
True, Toledo is our rival. But never have I seen a bunch of sorrier posters than Toledo's. And they keep coming back like a bad rash. So hopefully, when they get their butt kicked tonight, we will be rid of the stench once & for all.

Screw Toledo and Akron. We have to recruit against them. They win these bowl games and they look a little more attractive to some 18 year old kid then BG does. Probably would be better for us if they completely embarass themselves on national TV. Toledo has been pretty successful in that reegard.

Couldn't agree more Warthog. Toledo has embarrassed themselves big time in their last few "big" games out of conference. Kansas, Minnesota, Connecticut, Boston College, and Fresno State this year. If a kid is looking at Toledo and BG how about another bad loss in front of the nation? That should do it--maybe they will get out of control like when they played BC a few years ago with all of those 15 yard penalties!
That is a good point, and is one reason it's hard for me to pull for them. I will still pull for UT and Akron because of what I stated above. But as far as these schools looking more attractive to recruits, Toledo always seems to be playing in a MACC or bowl game and that always looks good to recruits. Also, both of these teams beat us on our home field this year, and that hurts us more than pulling for them to win a bowl game will. I guess what it boils down to then is a win-win situation for MAC fans. If they win, it's good for the MAC, if they lose, it doesn't give them a leg up for a bowl victory against teams that didn't get to go bowling.Warthog wrote:Screw Toledo and Akron.
