Wow. Well, first, I believe what is mentioned here is a common scam--at least, I have heard of it before. The questions mentioned by other makes sense, except the part where its only $200. People have done far dumber things for less money.
As for the Bleed, they would only be all over this if they knew about it. Since the investigation is probably very closely held, chances are good they haven't picked up on it yet.
It is only an investigation. I hope he is cleared. If he is not, I agree with TG1996--we're not that program.

Reminds me of the deal with Trent whatshisname (basketball player that transferred from OSU). He put on a ski mask and robbed a carryout, then fled on his bicycle. These things show up in the "news on the weird" under the subtitle 'Can't possibly be true', but inevitably turn out to be true. I sure hope this one about Sharon is a hoax but I do seem to remember hearing about said robbery of pizza guy for $200 in the paper recently.Flipper wrote:Odd story...$200 seems like a lot of dough (snicker) for a pizza guy to be carrying at any one time. If it was a faked robbery, $200 doesn't seem like much in a three way split. (when you consider the consequences). Why would the pizza guy need help to fake a robbery anyway, he could do it himself an keep all the money?
Anyway, I hope this isn't true....

I seem to remember Jackson used a weapon or what was perceived to be a weapon.
I don't think that was the case in the incident here.
Not sure if Trent used a weapon, but he was seen throwing the mask and some other stuff into some bushes. The other stuff was described as "criminal tools". For whatever that means.Schadenfreude wrote:You are referring to Trent Jackson Jr.Warthog wrote:Reminds me of the deal with Trent whatshisname (basketball player that transferred from OSU). You'd be surprised. Even though there should be places to drop the cash back at the store, if you're busy enough to pull down 200 bucks, you might not think of making the drop.Flipper wrote:Odd story...$200 seems like a lot of dough (snicker) for a pizza guy to be carrying at any one time.
Also, if you've got a plan with friends to get "robbed" for the $200, I don't think you'd care about dropping cash off, either. I know I carried alot of cash sometimes when I delivered, unless I was going to a part of town I *knew* might be sketchy. (Which in BG, there is exactly two of those places!)
Though I agree, it doesn't seem like alot of money for 3 guys to split.. but with NCAA 2005 coming out at $50 a pop....
Is this one of the reasons a guy can get suspended for in the NCAA 2005? Conspiring with two others to rob a pizza guy to split $200? Wonder what penalty would be justified?TG1996 wrote:You'd be surprised. Ok, here's my Trent Jackson Jr. story.Flipper wrote:

I was the head linesman on a local highschool game. Trent Jackson Sr. is an assistant coach (by the way, he was on the 1964 US Olympic Track team).
Anyway, I meet my ball boy before the game, and you guessed it -- Trent Jackson Jr.

Lord Byron didn't say this, but Trent Jackson Sr. is pretty much a legend in high school coaching circles in the Rochester area.Lord_Byron wrote:Flipper wrote:

I didn't realize he was in the '64 Olympics, though.
