I've never heard of Fairfield and I don't think Hamilton either. Where's Fairfield?UK Peregrine wrote:I went to Kroger's here in Kentucky wearing my BG hat and they didn't know where Fairfield was, let alone that Hamilton had suburbs.

Hamilton! OH (poulation 60,000 or so) is on the Great Miami River 20 miles northwest of Cincinnati, OH. Fairfield borders Hamilton.
I also get the "Bowling Green? That's Kentucky right?" Response quite a bit.
It takes me about 3 hours to get to the campus. I would like to think that BG has name recognition throughout the state. But I guess not. I would spread the word more myself, but talking to teenagers makes my teeth hurt.
Go Falcons!!

Well maybe I'm not surprised. People down there probably hear only Cincy Bearcats and either OSU or Miami(OH) possibly. If we had played Cincinnati in football some time ago we might be known a little more.RobbyFalcon wrote:Hamilton! I vaguely remember a football game in the early '90s at Riverfront Stadium between BG and U.Cincinnati. What I remember is that it was 112 degrees and just miserable that afternoon.
Maybe BG should whoop up on the Bearcats football team and get stomped in hoops if it will spread the Orange word to soutwest OH.
