UConn roll call

Post by Bleeding Orange »

So who is making the trek across that behemoth of a state we are told to call New York? I am hoping to be there for all four games of the tourney, but am unsure of exactly how it is going to work out.

Let me know - we should all go get a beer -- or ten. :P

Apparently I'm flying solo. Oh well, that just means more beer for me, I guess!

I'll try and take some pictures from the games and post them when I get back. Have a happy new year Falcons! :D

any chance you are coming down to KY for the women's BB game as well. I'm sure to buy a beer or pitcher if you do.

You won't be solo, I know of several people who will be there....unfortunately, we won't be one of them... :wah: Have a great time and be sure and report in!!! I also think the Sigalets (Mom & Dad) might be there for at least one of the games....another reason I am sad to miss this tourney!!!

Have a great time and yell loud for us!!!!

GO ICERS!!
SMASH UMASS!!

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Well, I'm at Umass right now and will be heading to Storrs in a couple of hours. UMass is beautiful and UConn will have to do a great deal to beat this place out, but that is beside the point. The point is I am PUMPED for the game this afternoon! I'm really excited about our chances against these HE clubs, and it should be some great hockey to watch. I hope to run into Mrs. Sigalet, too (thanks for the heads-up FF!).

Take care all, and I'll try to check in here at some point.

Tell the Sigalets (hopefully, all four of them!!) we said HI!!! (Not sure if they were attending one or both games)

And I expect a FULL game report tonight!!!

BG gets another win, beating UMass 3-2

Brain Dobek scored one goal, Matsumoto scored 2.
Jon Horrel was the goalie.

I'd have let it slide, but it reminded me of a scene in Family Guy, so I had to capitalize...

Although quite in the opposite direction of Connecticut (Minnesota, to be exact, and it's lovely to return to one of my homes) I just thought I should let you know that I did a smash-up job of representing!

Not only did I toss all professional ettiquette to the wind and cheer, and shout "Hell with UMASS!" (generally need to root for the conference, you know? At least in public) when they announced the out-of-town scores overhead, I threatened to sing Ay Ziggy Zoomba to all who would listen. They weren't so keen on that idea. Easterners! (though I can't say as I blame them, since I am perpetually off-key when I sing).
