Back-to-back wins and showing improvement
I know the second game wasn't against a D-I school, but with our last two wins over Troy and Notre Dame (Ohio), we've won back-to-back games for the first time this season. Baby steps, I know, but I like the progress we have shown in the last month with our games against these two schools and even in losses against Florida State and UALR. I think now that Wright is back and Moten has joined the team, coupled with the chance for all these new guys playing together some more, we've shown some improvement over the last month and we have played better than we did in the first month - despite putting together our best win over Virginia Tech. I hope the trend continues, because now, it's time to dive into MAC action. Keep it up Falcons, because if they keep improving, we could be that team that no one wants to play in the MAC Tournament.
GO BG!!!
Man, you sure are an optimist. But I will agree that this team is improving. Handed Troy their only home loss and handeled ND (like a DI team should). Wasn't crazy about the UALR game, but they gave FSU all they wanted.
With that said, I think the CMU game will speak volumes. I don't want to say they are the worst team in the conference, but they are near the bottom (like us?). Home floor. BG should win that game. Let's see....

Now that's a bold prediction!orangeandbrown wrote: They could get pretty good, or not.
I'd take that. Suppose .500 ball get's them a 1st round home game, with a chance for at least one in Cleveland?orangeandbrown wrote: Best guess is we finish about .500 (a good outcome).
I think it will have to do with the bye structure. In the past the top 3 teams got a bye. Now, with Marshall's departure the conference is even, so I would assume only the top 2 teams will get a bye. If that's the case, I don't know that .500 gets a home game. Anyone have the scoop on this?
I am assuming that 4 teams will get a bye. That would leave 8 teams to play a first round game with the 4 winners and 4 bye teams going to Cleveland. Whether the 4 bye teams are the top 2 teams in each division or the division winners plus next 2 best records I do not have a guess. I think that if we go .500 that we will have a first round home game. I would be thrilled with this team finishing at .500.
