Well UK gets a win, But man is that OU team good. OU kicked UKs butt for about 36 minutes. They even have the announcers saying OU might/should get an at-large bid.
I fear for the SEC schedule this year. I think it will be real tough for UK to win the regular season, let alone the tourney.
71-63

Ohio is going to be a beast in the MAC! Not that that's a surprise, but I've watched them play this year against Kentucky, Cincinnati and Rhode Island, and with the exception of the second half against UC, they look even better than last year. They flat out scare me with their athleticism and quickness. What's more, they are loaded with underclassmen, it's not like this is a senior-led team or something. It sure would be sweet to beat these guys this year.
But tonight, it was a tough loss for them because they had UK on the ropes all the way until the very end. But they are THE team to beat in the MAC in my opinion. I think they'll be back in the NCAA Tournament one way or another, either winning the MAC Tournament or getting an at-large bid.

I was really pulling for OU in this game, but they didn't get it done down the stretch. Big time choke job in the last 10 minutes. Aside from Mychal Green's hot streak for about 5 minutes in the first half, I didn't think they were very good at all offensively. A ton of turnovers, especially from Fears. I realize that the kid is young and he played a great defensive game on Rondo, but he made some real bonehead plays tonight.
OU is extremely athletic, which allows them to cause alot of turnovers defensively, but they didn't appear to be a very good offensive team tonight. They took it to the basket with their heads down all night, getting charge after charge called against them. They seemed to have the wrong guy taking shots at crucial times too. Jackson took a contested 3 when they initially gave up the lead with 2 minutes to go and Halbert's 3 was a good look, but there was no one with 20 feet of the basket to rebound.
I still think they will win the MAC, but I'm not as sure of that prediction as I was before the season began.

Good points. But I'll still stand with my prediction that they'll win the MAC this year no matter who they might lose to this season in the conference. In fact, not only do I think they'll win the MAC this year, I think they'll win it next year and maybe the one after that too.BGGrad01 wrote:I was really pulling for OU in this game, but they didn't get it done down the stretch.
