The greatest picture.....

Post by Rightupinthere »

One of the only images I remember from the BG News during my college days was the image of a visiting hockey player skating in front of section A and all you could see were newspapers.

Would anyone have a scanned image of that?

Just yesterday, Josh asked if he could bring a newspaper to the hockey game this sat. He wants to shout "Who's he? NOBODY!!!"

I always loved doing that!

If you remember what year it ran, you could go in the newsroom and take a photo of the photo from the archive books the BG News has. I'd do it for you but I'm no longer an employee :D

The archives on the fifth floor of the library also have every issue of the BG News in their original form. You don't have to be an employee to see them, either.

No need to bring them! There's a BG News stand right in the lobby area. Tons of papers there.

(Of course, this may not apply during the break, when the BG News isn't being published, but I remember that the students would clean out the rack and hand them out)

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Yeah, I've been in BG the past two days with more tomorrow. I figured it would make front page news in the Sentinel...

No can do. I work Saturday night. Thought about heading home via Columbus Friday night, but I have a sudden aversion to highway driving.

You damn well better think about it some more! You can go drink some beers with a bunch of us AZZ'ers between games! It'll be a great time! :D

And after, because I'm not able to go in between games, and I hate being left out! ;)
