A game winning goal as a birthday present to his sister at that. He said he wanted to score one for her before the game.

Awesome win. A sweep of OSU would be an awesome way to start the second half of league play.

What an amazing goal by Whitmore! What a HELL of a birthday present!!!

I tackled my former roomate when the buzzer sounded and then called my OSU-alum father and laughed at him. He hung up on me. Twice.

I can not WAIT for tomorrow night! This team is absolutely on fire and it is going to be a FUN ride to the end of the season!!!!

Just got home.....what a game! A win without Matsumoto and being outshot 40-20!! The guys kept fighting and pulled it out really late. Thanks to Whitmore for getting the goal - my wife was going to be pretty peeved with another tie at OSU.

Few thoughts:

1. It looked like we scored early in the first period on a shot that went top shelf, then came out of the net quickly. Did they say anything on the radio about this? For anyone that was at the game, did it look like a goal to you or am I losing it?

2. Horrell was outstanding again tonight. The only two games that I've seen have been at the Schitt and he has been awesome in both.

3. OSU fans must think they're at a funeral for 95% of the game. Really quiet in that place. Listening to their fans call the loss "garbage" after the game was great.

4. The BG contingent was awesome. We were pretty well spread out across the arena. Cheers to the fans opposite the benches in the terrace level that had the "BG" "SU" chant going. We heard it loud and clear on the other side of the arena!!

Sweep the Suckeyes tomorrow night!!!

that was a good win IN columbus. been a while since somebody could say that. i was scared there at the start of the 3rd. OSU came out and they just looked like they had so much more energy. but BG held on and i think osu got a bit tired and we took it to them. I was also scared at the start. Horrell didn't look to sharp to begin. that first one looked like he tried to close his glove on it too early and it just hit of the edge and went in. but he didn't let it faze him one bit and went on to do great.

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

I'm actually in BG tonight. I listened to the game on the radio. I was supposed to be going to the game but I ran into err...complications...with my grad school applications today and as it turns out there was no way I could have made it, and I can't tell you how pissed/depressed I am - especially now! :(

Oh well, we'll get 'em tomorrow! GO FALCONS!!!!!

I was only able to catch the last half of the third period, but the BG fans were louder than the band was. Way to represent. I've been to two games in the Schitt, and it sucks for hockey. Not just the fans, but the arena in general. No atmosphere whatsoever. All hockey is in Columbus is another social event like the rest of OSU's sports.

If they were smart at all they would put in a sturdent section. in general the students will be the ones to start everything that goes on. then they can get rid of the damn cheerleaders.

AWESOME!! I live in central Ohio and am F*(&^&* tired of hearing about all things OSU. I was on cloud nine walking out of the Shottenhiemer!

Saw Jonathon before the game walk in near us and totally freaked - why was he inactive? Just watched a Columbus stations sports report and they mentioned he was "left out" tonight. Is he hurt? hope not we need him tomorrow.
