Oh I see, I didn't realize that Jordan and Jonathan weren't on the actual Boston Bruins team. I did't realize that NHL teams had minor league affiliates either. Okay , thanks for that update! :)

Yes but I still figured out that you meant Providence Bruins, and I don't even follow hockey outside of BG (meaning current players at the school) and the CCHA (meaning how BG is doing in the CCHA).

Yeah, there's quite an elaborate minor league system in hockey. Nothing like baseball's, mind, but there are four leagues at different levels in the States/Canada. There's nothing comparable in football or basketball.

None of the other sports has a system in place comparable to the juniors in hockey (little kids up until age 21).

Personal opinion: the fact that the juniors exist and that up until recent decades (1980s - present) the collegiate route was not a viable one if you wanted to have a professional career is a large part of the reason you don't see the rampant cheating/violations in NCAA hockey that you do in football/basketball.

Sweet! Does that mean I get free room and board at any Finnish embassy around the world? And do they have one in Indianapolis?

Jordan got called back up to Boston today.

Raycroft is hurt worse than they thought, so he's not practicing at all right now.

Tim Thomas is still playing out of his skull, so Jordan will likely see little to no ice time. Unless Raycroft ends up out for a long time. But whatever, Jordan is up!

Alright, seriously - does Boston have any nationally televised games coming up on OLN or NBC? I really, really want to see Jordan wearing that "B." If anyone has a picture of him in his NHL uni, that would be great, too!

Sorry I can't help you with a pic of Jordan in a "B" uni, but if you look at the Providence website today, you'll get a great shot of Jonathon

Depends, do they play the Red Wings, Rangers, Flyers, Avs or Penguins in the next couple weeks?

Yeah, tell me about it. As a Sens fan, I never get to see them play unless they are playing Phoenix, and to my knowledge they have not so far this year.

I really like OLN's coverage, they just need to cover more than two games per week.

Jordan was sent back down today, so tough luck for him. He needs to keep plugging away down in the AHL and keep his head up.

Not to turn this into a thread about Thomas (because really, who gives a crap about him! ), but DAMN does Thomas look good! You could never tell that he is a rookie out there the way he is directing his defense, especially on the PP! I'm watching the Bruins vs. Caps game on OLN right now, and I have to admit that I am really, really impressed with this kid. An astounding stat - 15 shutouts in 45 games in Finland last year?

My only question is, with a talent like Thomas on the depth chart, what does this mean for Jordan's future with the Bruins organization? I think Jordan has the talent to be a starting netminder in the NHL, but with the kind of goaltending depth that Boston has, will he get a realistic shot with them anytime soon?

Trade him to the Blue Jackets. I'm sick of seeing Marc "Whoops" Denis.
