2006 Football
OK... I am trying to figure out our schedule for 2006.
So far, we know:
Sept 2: Wis @ Cleveland
Sept 15: @ FIU (according to website)
Sept 23: Boise
Oct 7: @ OSU
Oct 14: HOMECOMING - TBA
Oct 28: FAMILY WEEKEND - TBA
November 8: Home game - (Maybe Miami?)
Most Likely Thanksgiving week: @ Toledo
Wow, doesn't really leave a lot of room for a bye weekend with 12 games.
Anyone know anything else?

Re: 2006 Football
I believe the NCAA did away with the bye week with the advent of the universal 12 game schedule.bgfan_4420 wrote:Wow, doesn't really leave a lot of room for a bye weekend with 12 games.
I made up a prediction for our schedule a few weeks back. Ask 1987 alum, he gave me some kind of title for doing that. Anyway, I'm too stupid to use the search function, but you could go back and look for it if you want. I even looked at all the other MAC teams OOC games to come up with who is available on each date. Good stuff if you can find it.

Here was my guess:
9/2 WISCONSIN @ Cleveland Browns Stadium
9/9 KENT
9/16 @ Florida International
9/23 BOISE ST
9/30 @ Ohio
10/7 @ Ohio State
10/14 EASTERN MICHIGAN
10/21 @ Central Michigan
10/28 BUFFALO
11/4 @ Akron
11/11 or 14 MIAMI
11/21 or 22 @ Toledo
You can have one week off, playing 12 games between 9/2 and 11/25 (13 weeks).

This much we know - Homecoming will be either October 14 or October 21 (Preview Day will be the date not selected for Homecoming).PGY Tiercel wrote:So would you geuss for an early homecoming this year, Kent game, or an even later one with EMU?

I've seen published that homecoming is the 14th.transfer2BGSU wrote:This much we know - Homecoming will be either October 14 or October 21 (Preview Day will be the date not selected for Homecoming).PGY Tiercel wrote:So would you geuss for an early homecoming this year, Kent game, or an even later one with EMU?

Amen to that. Of course, that means I want more Thursday games!Falconfreak90 wrote:I'm all for that. Don't get me wrong, I like the exposure on ESPN but I hate having to use vacation days to get to games.

Unfortunately I just got off the phone with an Assistant AD and they still do not have a final schedule other than the BSU game on September 23.TG1996 wrote:I've seen published that homecoming is the 14th.
I know there is a lot of hope of October 14 being Homecoming. Just wish we had something to confirm.

Wasn't necessarily hope, it was a number of different university publications I've seen/received that listed that as the date.transfer2BGSU wrote:Unfortunately I just got off the phone with an Assistant AD and they still do not have a final schedule other than the BSU game on September 23.TG1996 wrote:I've seen published that homecoming is the 14th.

Other than a shot at nice weather (2005's sun vs. 2004's whatever the hell that was!), it makes no difference to me, just going by what I've read from the U.
