Ferris State Tie Big One Tonight.

Post by FalconBlue »

Michigan State and Ferris State tie tonight 2-2. Ferris State is 1-1-4 in the CCHA and Michigan State is 2-0-2.
If you're ridin' ahead of the herd, take a look back now and then to make sure it's still there.

What the heck are they doing playing on a Tuesday night? This midweek BS in college hockey needs to go. Fast. :?
From the halls of ivy...

It is not my intention to do away with government. It is rather to make it work - work with us, not over us; stand by our side, not ride on our back. Government can and must provide opportunity, not smother it; foster productivity, not stifle it. ~Ronald Reagan

It's all the rage out here in the east.
Certain schools don't like to play back-to-back nights so they schedule games on weekdays.

But I agree that it's disconcerting.

BG needs to get rid of this Thursday-Friday stuff too. I mean hell ND can't fill their rink on a Saturday night let alone Thursday night. The arena is going to be dead...there won't be any atmosphere for any team to build off of. It just hasn't been a good experience for BG....OSU walked out of the Ice Arena the last Thursday game a 7-2 winner in what I believe would've been a more intimidating atmosphere had the game been a night later.

I think this might be a game that was affected by the change in the CCHA tournament format. Making the regular season a week shorter forced team to accomodate.

The Thursday-Anyday series need to go to. Having a home-and-home with Ferris is ridiculous to begin with. If they want to go to home-and-home series n the CCHA, they should be able to play different opponents on consecutive nights. We shouldn't have to play in BG one night, then drive to Ferris for a game two nights later. I could see playing at Ferris and Western in the same weekend making sense. It wouldn't be hard to have a single home game at BG since UM, MSU, and OSU are all within 2 hours of BG (at least by car they are).

FERRIS and msu were scheduled to play in early March, but the powers to be did change the play-off format. This was the best we could do with such short notice (plan ahead???).
