Let's Rock the Rink!

Post by BGSU Crazy Fan 58 »

It's 2:30 and I just got back from last class of the day and now I'm just waiting for the game! I'm expecting a large and raucous crowd tonight. I'm planning on really getting on Belissimo as much as possible with some chants of "danny.........danny" and "seive, seive, seive!" and whatever else I can come up with. I'll bringing lots and lots of newspapers as well and I'm interested to see the chant sheets. Hope to see everyone there in their orange and brown as the Falcons go for 7 straight and give the ponies a Friday the 13th Nightmare!
Go BG!!!!!!!! Sweep the Ponies!!!!!!!!

Here's a good old one if you like. It's usually done after about the third or fourth goal and we're ahead:

Hey, Danny!
You're a goalie tried and true!
We will do this cheer for you!

(Raise right arm and look under and behind it.)
Whoops!

It's a great cheer when a whole section is doing it on the same end of the ice as the goalie!

The Marketing Department assured me the chant/cheer sheets would be in the stands for the game tonight!! :supz:

GO FALCONS!!
SWEEEEEEEEP THE PONIES!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Is this the same route you took to get them there last week, or did you do those yourself?

If they're stepping up, I think it's GREAT to see a branch of the University stepping up to help out!

Last week, I did them myself. Tonight, they had them reduced to half sheets. Not sure how many they had around the rink, though...didn't seem as many as I had put out, but overall, it seems to be having a positive effect! The goal counts.....it's getting there!! Need a little coordination between the different sections, but at least people are doing it again!!!!

GO FALCONS!!
BEAT WESTERN!!

Cool. If it's noticeable two games in (and one game where there were numerous goals to count!), it must be catching on. Keep up the great work!!!

Here, here! If anyone in the marketing department reads this forum - DON'T STOP PUTTING FLIERS OUT THERE AT ALL THIS YEAR!!! Things aren't going to change overnight, so this is going to be an year-long project. If people keep seeing these fliers at the games they will begin to realize that they actually mean something!
