Ferris Make Up Game

Post by Falcon Fanatic »

Andy Evans just said it will be a COMPLETE game. I think that makes sense due to the time that has passed since the original game. My question is STILL the problem with the ticket situation. I don't have our 4 tickets!! Grrrr.....
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Yup, that pretty much sums it up! Although it was actually 20 minutes that never existed!

Are you coming back to get those minutes back in your life??? 8)

Yeah, but I didn't get there until 7 mins into the game!

The "rematch" is on a Monday? Probably won't get them back. Bye bye minutes!!!

Though I'm definitely gonna work on getting up for a Thursday or Friday game before the season is out!

Here is my suggestion. They should mail cheap, one time use tickets to all season ticket holders so they are certain to have a ticket to the game.

Since they already have the gate money from walk up sales from the first game they should just charge $5 for the rest of the tickets due to the fact it is not on the schedule and being played on a Monday night game. They could, if they were feeling generous, donate the $5 to a local charity as well . . .

my guess is they'll just open the door up to anybody who shows up...kind of like they did for the Windsor game.

I know that Windsor was an exhibition...but I'd still not be suprised if it's a 'freebie'. They already collected ticket proceeds on this game once, and (as far as I know) offered no refund, 'rain-check' or other procedure. It's a Monday night...and I'd think it wou;d be good PR just to open the doors.

Game still on at 7PM, right? Don't want to drive, again, all the way from Big Rapids, for nothing. And what if I lost my ticket (disorganized old man, you know)???

And where is a good place to eat, drink, visit, etc before the game. I will have my college freshman son with me (only 18), so I'm not sure on the laws of Ohio.

First off, welcome to the board!

Second, drinking laws are 21, and the places to eat are many. I'd think if you want something VERY unique to BG, hit Myles Pizza. (From the north, turn right off the exit to I-75, after a half mile or so, campus will be on your right, go another half mile or so, campus stops and Myles is on your left. (Just before the railroad tracks.) Some may disagree on its quality, but it's "BG's Own". If you want semi-unique and aren't big on pizza with ALOT of cheese and a fairly spicy sauce, try Mr. Spot's (philly subs and such). They have one in Ann Arbor (maybe somewhere else, too), but still pretty BG-unique. If you're a wing-man, right off the I-75 exit is Fricker's, which has maybe a dozen locations, but they're all within about 25 miles of the I-75 corridor.

As far as losing tickets goes, I don't know what to tell ya, I think my dad is using the one I can't use from the 13 minutes of hockey I got to see in October.

13 minutes??? Were you late to the game?????

They are offering a 2-1 deal on tickets if you buy them and parking is free. No idea what to do if you lost the original ticket... Guess we will find out too, I think I only have 3 of 4...if that......

GO ICERS!!

I used mine at McDonald's after the game!!!!! Now what do I do?

ok, I didn't, but I no longer have my GA ticket stub, and I really was there!!

This is NOT a very good "ticket policy" they came up with for this game. It wasn't the fans fault for the cancellation, it was Ice Arena's personnel's fault, but we get punished, and they get paid!!! They should have sucked it up and just opened the doors, and certainly not offended all of the season ticket holders. They sent season ticket holders a card saying they needed their "stubs" to get in Monday, so why didn't they just say they could just use the card for admission!!!!!! Not very FAN FRIENDLY in my opinion.

I recommend Myles' as well. And Mr. Spots.
I don't go in for Fricker's so much, though. I think it's pricey for the food you get (and the quality is lower, imho).

For those of you dumb asses that lost your tickets, you only have to blame yourself for that. If you are a season ticket holder, athletics has proof that you have tickets, whether you used it or not. Read your season ticket agreement (or the back of your tickets).

For those of you that are not season tickets holders. look at yourself in the mirror and say "I am a stupid idiot. I should know that keeping a ticket stub from a cancelled or delayed or interupted game is like keeping a receipt for that $500 TV/sound system/video game console, that I got myself for Christmas. If I lose it, and the item breaks down, I am probably out of luck."

Also, it appears that none of you have tried to contact the ticket office. Have you? If so, what is their response. If not, call yourself an f-ing idiot for being some dumb and naivete to think that they wouldn't have a policy in place. Like any good business, they probably do have a policy. You just have to check with them. There are people in athletics that are paid money to answer stupid questions from people that lose their tickets. Go ahead. They don't bite.
