Ellis will arrive as our kicker- he must get the job done. Some have questioned signing a good weather HS kicker, but I note a number of northern schools have done so this year including Michigan State.

Now, what about the punter? I was told we had an absolutely outstanding punter in this weekend.

We can hope, Welcome Mr. Ellis and good luck!

Go Falcons!

The punter that was in this past weekend is Alonso Rojas www.kicking.com has him listed as committing. Here is a link to his kicking.com page.

I hope Big Bird and Rojas can adjust to kicking in NW Ohio. They sure look like they have the talent!

Don't know if anyone looked at his site, but he was the "best kicker" at the URBAN MEYER football camp last year. Think Urbie is helping Brandon out by spotting some talent and letting us know about it too? 8)

Great news! So now we have a 6'5" place kicker and a 6'3" punter - two of the tallest guys on the team.

You have to figure that Urbie's presence in Florida helps us. We're always going to be known as the school that launched his career. Florida is one of the three high profile programs in one of the top states for HS football talent in the country. As long as he's winning. he helps us.

16 known commitments and we still have to hear from Gordon and Tynes from this past weekend and both of our kickers are taken care of . . . This is turning out to be Brandon's top class yet.

I agree Flipper. He sees lots of great players now. When he comes across a kid that doesn't quite seem to be UF material, ya gotta hope he whispers a little about BG to them and then gives his buddy Brandon a heads up.

Lets hope he finds us another QB and some WRs soon! :D

He'll need to add about 70 pounds of fat around the waistline to effectively run those Perry Stadium fake punts.....

yes i agree with the Urban Meyer statements. I think BG in general has become a lot better known place since he was here :D and maybe now it is starting to show up more!

Nice job, coaches! Filling needed positions with talent.

And there is no truth to the rumor that we had to make Mr. Hooper the special teams coach to lure Big Bird here.
