Next Up: EMU

Post by BGSU33 »

Like every game we play this season, we’re going to have to fight hard and grind it out for a win. But this next game at EMU is certainly winnable. EMU is only 3-9 overall, 0-4 in the MAC. But all three wins came at home including wins over Cal and Tulsa. With that said, EMU has also lost five consecutive games including four MAC games in a row. EMU’s best player, center John Bowler, is having a MAC POTY type of a season. We need to contain him and stay out of foul trouble in the post, and obviously, do what we need to do on offense and defense ourselves. We beat EMU up there last season, but Bowler didn’t play in that game and the lack of his presence aided us a lot. But still, this is a game I think we should win. It’s a Homecoming for Samarco and hopefully he’ll snap out of the shooting funk he had last game and lead us to a victory. GO BG!!!

If you guys lose to EMU, you can stick a fork in your season on Wednesday night. EMU is better than only one team in the MAC, and that's CMU. That's not saying much at all.

Thanks for sharing. If we lose Wednesday do I get in free to the rest of the games? I mean hell, they obviously won't be counting for anything, right?

How does EMU get Cal and tulsa to come to their arena?

the Cal move is most likely because of Ben Braun, the Tulsa game might be because of a similar connection, or just a home-and-home deal scheduled between mid-majors. Possibly something to do with the Bracket Buster, perhaps?

i think this game could either get us on a roll (coming off the big win over that school up north) or could dismantle the season. anything can happen in MAC basketball. If we can play that scrappy defense like we did against Toledo and hit the shots when we need to, we will win our share of games. and be a dangerous team come march at the Q. We also need to stop falling apart in the second half like the games against NIU and Oakland. GO FALCONS and get on a winning streak! :)

So are we on then?

I won't be able to take dance team pics, I let my brother borrow the camera for the auto show :(

I don't know yet... it's probably going to be a game-time decision. If I can get ISA Server 2004 to play well with McAfee and NOT shut down certain ports whenever it feels like it... then I'm good to go.

My camera is already set out and has fresh batteries though... just in case. ;-)

GO! (and not just so you get dance team photos... although, that would be great... and all).

Some day... Some day.. you will regret if you don't, IMO

EMU is like 20 minutes from my house....but I probably won't go. I might stay in and do my nails.
