Yes, very good story. I always admired the way Gompers seemed to be so intense and so focused, especially not seeing the court for long periods of time as a freshman.
I think the story lets everyone know how close this team is; the quotes from Mann and Miller really ring true that the team is a really a family.

Yeah, that was sad to read about her body just not letting her play basketball. That sure is a weird condition , I've never heard of a player having that before. That has got to be tough man.

Last season at their end of the season banquet, Julie was given an award for her mental toughness working through her injury. Coach Eckert said that she would almost be in tears in the weightroom sometimes while she was trying to rehab but she never let on to the rest of her teammates how much pain she was really in. She is such an inspiration that way she has taken what fate has dealt her and managed to find a positive in it.
