Let's recap. Floyd really is that bad, our offense doesn't look inside enough, and if Wright takes that two and hits it, that last three makes it a one point win.

Granted, it wouldn't take much to be a bigger offensive option than either Moon or more consistent than Floyd, but Moon's handles aren't that bad and he brings great defense. I'm just tired of every recruit we have coming in with these ridiculous expectations when they're 1) not eligible 2) they have a ballyhooed image to live up to despite none of us seeing them play. 3) Shrinking up to 4 inches before they ever play.

I grew up near Ft. Wayne and am actually hoping to see Sims play before the season is over.

Wright was also open for a 3 before he drove on that sequence.

If you want to be real, I would think you would want to see him play first.

Me too. I'm planning on making the trip to Indy in Spring, assuming Snider makes it that far.

With Sims and Johnson and the SAC being as competitive as it is, they will have a legit chance.

Well, it was nice chatting with you guys. I hope I was of a benefit and didn't write too much nonsense. Even though the boys ended up losing, it really wasn't for a lack of effort, and they are a young team. Once they learn to win these close games, watch out. That could still happen this year. Let's not get all bent out of shape after this one. Way too much basketball to be played yet.

Ryan Sims scouting report

From: http://users.aol.com/johnh86395/private/news.html

Jumps out of the gym, he's very quick and handles the ball well. His greatest strength has to be his jumper and his ball handling. Knows how to find ways to score.

2005 Junior Indiana All-Star Team Member

I think he will help solidify our PG problems because of his ball handling ability and ability to defend. Hes athletic, and quick, which should help us play even better defense next year.

I read scouting reports everyday, and you really have to see the kid play, and what type of competition he plays against to really get a sense of how good a kid is. I am not saying that the recruiting report is wrong, but sometimes a kid isn't as good as a recruiting report says he or she is.

Our point guard play is so bad. No penatration and without outside shooting.

Robinson plays great D but can't see the whole floor and misses the cutters

By the way I have seen Sims play 3 times. Can run and jump but can't dribble and can shoot. Coaches son that has plays set for him and can do no wrong...sort of like Floyd and DD.

If anyone thinks he will be our point guard answer next year I think we will once again be disappointd.

One more thing. It may have been the "feed" but Dues. looks like he moves his piviot foot all the time.

True, not all scouting reports are right and i havent seen him play, but i know Dan Dakich has and i have confidence in Dakich's evaluation of talent. He wouldnt go sign the kid if he had no ability. Since hes a falcon, dakich must of seen some talent in this player and i welcome him to the team, and look for him to solidify the pg position for the future.
