Huge win in front of a huge crowd!

12th biggest in school history, but just 30 or so off the record.

Biggest crowd at the IA in 15 years!

What a difference to night ..

Post by FalconBlue »

I was out and only just looked at the result of tonight's game. I almost had a seizure, what a supprise. A 5-2 win after last nights poor showing and the first win by Pooch as a coach over UM, not bad. Congratulations Falcons!
If you're ridin' ahead of the herd, take a look back now and then to make sure it's still there.

I would have to agree that it was one of the better BG sporting events I've ever attended.
What a game! I had a dream two nights ago that we would shut them out, 2-0. This was pretty much just as good!
I have never cheered against Michigan before in my whole life, but it felt pretty damn good in this case.
I think more players went into our net than pucks!
Also, I'm happy to report that the crowd was much better this game. Definitely better in the case of the vulgarity, but as far as being totally uninformed about the game... not so much.
But who the hell am I to complain?! We just beat freakin' Michigan!

The crowd was unfalconbelievable tonight. They were having problems trying to get everyone in the IA....great job by students for showing up. My personal favorite moment was the students over cheering the Wolverines and the chants of overrated. Great job Falcons!!

I was hoping you'd check in! It sounded to me as though there were even people counting off goals tonight, too! Apparently your article did a whole hell of a lot!

What a game, what a win. To have a team that can play like that, and win like that, and the return of the fans like that. FALCON Hockey is back, and making its way to top. With Authority.

I have missed hockey this good. But who cares i now want for nothing..

It was an absolute night and day difference from the game last night. The crowd was great! The team out hustled and out played MeatChicken from the very beginning. This game easily could have been (and should have been 9-2 BG. It was that kind of domination.

As ugly as last night was, tonight was ever so s.s.sweeeet!!!

The d-men cleared pucks, blocked shots and contained the wings.
The forwards followed thru on their defensive duties.
We took advantage of offensive opportunities.
We were the aggressors.
Horrell was solid and poised.
Pilkington was pumped up.
Morrison played like a champion.
The crowd was awesome.

I'm emotionally drained...goodnight.

PS Any word on Unger's condition?

Unbelievable game! Great crowd! Great atmosphere! Great win! Section E overflowed into the horseshoe section! Absolutely great! For the most part I didn't hear much vulgarity and they were working together as a group making the arena every bit as opposing as Yost was last night. Great job!

One thing on the ice that I thought was great, Johnson seemed to take more abuse than he doled out tonight! Basically a non-factor on the ice.

BTW Freeide, we heard that Unger was being taken in for x-rays. Possible cracked rib(s). Apparently from running into the net.
