Jeremy Fears is without a doubt a difference maker. No questions asked. My original argument was that it was unlikely to expect a freshman to come in and play point guard at a difference making level, let alone play in front of Floyd, due to the lovefest our coaching staff has with him.

There aren't a lot of "difference" making freshmen at any position in the MAC. Frankly, I'm tired of al the "wait 'til player 'X' shows up" BS. The hype surrounding Reggie Harwell was enough for me. I guess I'll just focus on the guys who are actually here and playing.

We had signed a kid named Leon Petty that was supposed to come as part of Corey Eyink's class. He signed early after an excellent junior year. He was described by some as the best player in IN. In his senior year, he fell flat on his face. He averaged less than ten points per game. He never showed up at BG, and I haven't heard about him since.

What ever happened to Harwell? He seems to have fallen off of the face of the earth.

Harwell ended up at a junior college in Texas last year.

He disappeared mid season.

This year he popped up at Central State. He disappeared before the season ever began.
