Former Falcon Passes Away

Post by Tswam »

Former BG player Charlie May died last week from congestive heart failure. He was 58. May lettered as a defensive end for the Falcons in 1969. He was a long-time educator retiring after serving a number of years as principal at Fremont Middle School. He was the older brother of Scott May (former NBA player, 1976 NCAA POY, and Olympian) and the uncle of Sean May of the Charlotte Bobcats.

I never knew there was a BG connection there. Here maybe I should have been a little lighter on Sean and Scott for their choices of schools...

Always sad to hear one of the BG family passing on, especially at such a relatively young age. It's been a rough month or so for that.
