Since special teams is one-third of the game, getting these 2 guys is so huge. I'm excited about our opponents starting most of their drives inside their 20 for the next 4 years. If we can steadily improve the defense and make the other teams go the long field against us, we won't need to always have a lights-out offense to be successful.

Next year is getting more and more intriguing....

I saw that Rojas was a participant in the Urban Meyer kicking camp. Think UM threw a bone to coach Brandon?

Yeah, cause Rojas was going to go wherever Urban told him to.

Relax, I was just throwing it out there because Urban told Brandon about Omar. I was suggesting that maybe Meyer gave Brandon the heads up about this kid. I doubt Urban told Omar that he must go to BG.

Urban actually signed Omar. Sounds pretty crazy since he is two schools removed and Omar left a year early.

Is this **** star punter a verbal for us?? That would be awesome if we did indeed get a verbal from a #1 punter for sure, I was just wondering if we still had a verball from this other punter Alex Rojas. Wondering if we really need 2 punters , but I guess who cares if we could 2 good ones.

I'm still not following this post. If the thread is read correctly Alonso Rojas is the #1 punter. I don't think we are trying to sign 2 punters. The other guy is a place kicker.

I'm not sure if PGY's post cleared things up for you, but Rojas is the 4 star punter and he is a BSGU verbal.
