I second that about Miami and not just because a fan just posted on here. Miami has always been my second favorite MAC school to BG.

See, the thing is, one could come on a message board and defend their favorite teams' ability to close out games by saying "The leadership that the Bobcats currently posess enables them to make the right plays at the right time and not be rattled by end-of-game pressure. The seasoning in which has taken place has prepared them for taking their time in attempting a comeback and sealing the deal with key plays." This sentence, if describing the current OU Bobcats, is probably true. But you didn't say that. Even though I didn't make any statistical or game references, I have somewhat-eloquently said that "our team kicks ass, and yours doesn't!"

You could have also taken the time to realize that BGSU's bball squad is very young and inexperienced in key positions. They have also been victimized by some oddly timed exits by a few players this past offseason. This could be ascertained just by looking at the roller coaster season they are having. Beating some good teams and losing to some bad ones = inexperience. But you don't care about that.

Instead you act like a dog and woof your way through defending an argument. This leads me to believe that you are a) 13 years old and now you have gone to bed, b) As the former GM of the Reds would say "you don't have the requisite ability" or c) you simply are ignorant, unteachable and now not worth my time.

Good Day Sir!

OhioBobcat wrote:Well, well, well…ha ha ha! Nice game tonight, losers! Do you guys know how to close out a game? Take a lesson from us, because we do. Do you know that Central Michigan, the worst team in the MAC, just beat Buffalo by 10 on the road, and you turn around and lose to them at home?! What a joke! You see, we win close games, you lose close games! Our last two games, we’ve won by three in both games. Your last two games, you lost by a combined four points. You choke under pressure…do I hear David Bowie music in the background? We beat a team with an eight-game winning streak that was undefeated in the MAC tonight, and the other day you lost to a team with a seven-game losing streak that was winless in the MAC! We’ve lost one home game in the last two years, you’ve lost as many home games in one night! We had 10,000 fans for one game this year, you had under 10,000 combined in your first six home games with one of them being against your biggest rival! You guys are flat out pathetic! Maybe now you’ll finally realize, BGSUCKS. Enjoy getting you butts kicked at Kent State on Thursday.
I said I was done...but those are my own issues. Separation Anxiety I guess.

OU is playing good ball right now. True. But winning close games, at home, means that the team may not be as good as advertised. The team that was predicted to run away with the conference still has a long way to go. Are they the best team, on paper? No argument here.

However, Kent currently holds the distinction of 1st place after snatching a victory against my alma mater in Oxford. Miami played like crap and Kent didn't. Kudos to them.

Don't get into attendance squabbles either please. Every MAC team has their issues in certain sports. We all know this.

Touche. If you count cured as I graduated and no longer play...sure! I sneak in a special performance every now and then.

I saw some of the OU game tonight. Wouldn't brag about the performance at all. There is no way they will finish first in the MAC.

Also classy student section that was threatened to have a technical called against them for language.

I also watched the Akron/OU game on TV. It wasn't the prettiest game, but it was pretty hard-fought and competitive. Akron came out on fire and took a 10-0 lead early, but then Ohio slowly started to take control. It was pretty cloe down the stretch, but I never felt Akron was going to win it. They looked nervous trying to take the lead at the end and had several tries at a game-winning shot and never got off a good look. I also saw the part when the PA announcer addressed the crowd about the language. Don't think I've ever seen that before. But I will say this much, that O-Zone is pretty impressive. It reminds me of what we used to have at BG. Their section is packed, all in the same shirt, and full of energy. The Convo always seems like a tough place to play, but it's very tough for visiting teams nowadays. I still think OU is the team to beat in the MAC.

Facts:

1) OU is better than BG this year (BG leads all-time series);

2) OU will NOT catch Kent, and therefore will not win the MAC East (or a MAC title);

3) OU will NOT finish ahead of Akron;

4) OU will be the #4 seed at the MAC Tourney, and will lose to Kent in the Semis (if they make it that far).

5) OU will not play in the post season.

Those are the facts. You heard it here first. I'm sure you won't be around here the third week of March, so Ha Ha Ha! I told you so.

Ya know, I tried to present facts to this kid but its obvious facts aren't in his background.

OU is better than BG in hoops this year....THIS year. Not last as evident by the teams splitting the series (although BG crushed OU at AA and lost by 3 at the Convo).

The thing that cracks me up is his repeated attempts to label our football program as a loser. This coming from a school that A) hasn't won a MAC title in 40 years B) has had maybe 4 winning seasons in the last 40 years C) has never, to my knowledge, played in a bowl game and D) is BG's beeatch on the field and has been for 40 years...and will be again this year.

But let the child talk his smack....cuz we all know that a big ole plate of crow is the best medicine. And this child is just setting himself up for the crow buffet line. I am guilty of getting drawn into his rants and taking the bait for his flames. But no more....I can't waste time anymore on a 12 year old with a 5 year old mentality. My two boys are more mature than this kid.

BG leads OU in every sport, as far as I know. And yet he talks smack. They aren't very bright down in Athens. And the BGSU envy is so obvious... :wink: God help this child if BG pulls out a win on 2/4 and/or 3/4. He would NEVER show his face here again....which would be a good thing.
